Smile Again Africa Development Organization (SAADO) with support from our long term partners UNFAO and Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries South Sudan organized a field launch of Peste Des Petits Ruminants (PPR) eradication campaign programme in Jebel Lemon, Rajaf Payam-Juba County South Sudan.

This is in line with the South Sudan PPR Eradication Strategy and the Global PPR Control and Eradication Strategy which aims to eradicate the plague by 2030. The PPR targeted vaccination campaign today focused on Eastern Equatoria and Central Equatoria (Juba and Terekeka counties) and the event was graced by senior government officials,NGO partners in the livestock sector, donors and representatives from the diplomatic community. All COVID-19 prevention measures were observed during the successful event.
